Position – Front Desk Specialist:
The Face. The Gatekeeper. The First Impression. As the Front Desk Specialist in our Pediatric Dental Office, you are the reflection of our values and culture to the outside world. In fact, your smiling face and cheerful voice is one of the first contacts the outside world will have with our office, so we place a high value on this position. In this role you will:
Job Requirements
– Answer incoming phone calls, fielding questions and scheduling patient appointments
– Provide a warm and welcoming greeting for patients and parents
– Enter and confirm patient information, verify insurance and EOB postings
– Work through accounts receivables, collect patient payments
– Work through unscheduled patient call lists
– Maintain a neat and organized reception area
– Perform other front desk or clinical duties as necessary
Must Haves:
– Excellent communication skills, both face to face and over the phone
– Excellent problem-solving skills and a desire to take on responsibility
– Excessive attention to detail
– Strong computer skills and fundamental knowledge of dental software or ability to learn new software quickly
– High integrity and an ability to work with all personality types, including parents, young patients, and patients with special needs
– High school diploma or equivalent
Nice to Haves:
– At least 2 years of office experience, dental preferred
– Experience filing insurance claims
– Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
