The Treetop 20: Meet Shannon!

Shannon is one of Treetop Pediatric Dentistry’s Registered Dental Assistants. Currently living in Buda, Shannon is married with one daughter in middle school and twin boys in preschool.  Shannon obtained a BS in Family and Child Development from Southwest Texas State. After spending almost 15 years in preschool and educational settings, Shannon opted for a career change and attended Austin Dental Assisting School, receiving her RDA in 2012. Treetop is Shannon’s first position in the dental field. Shannon chose dentistry because:

 “I love working with children and helping them feel comfortable at the dentist. Their comfort and trust is an extremely important aspect of the visit.“

Shannon loves Alabama football (Roll Tide!) and spending time with her family and friends. Here is a little more about Shannon, the Treetop version of 20 Questions.

  1. Do you have kids? Yes, 3!
  2. Would you like to bunjee jump? No way!
  3. What’s your favorite cereal? Cracklin’ Oat Bran
  4. What’s the first thing you notice about people? Their eyes
  5. Red or Pink? Red
  6. If you were a crayon, what color would you be? Silver
  7. What was the last thing you ate? Sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit – mnmm!
  8. Summer or winter? Summer
  9. Favorite Movie? Steel Magnolias
  10. Morning or Night? Night
  11. Favorite Candy? Heath/Skor bar
  12. Favorite TV Show? Big Bang Theory
  13. Favorite Holiday and Why? Christmas! Everybody gets together at my house to celebrate.
  14. If you could have a super power, what would it be? To stop time! Then I’d be able to get things done 🙂
  15. If you could visit one place in the world, where would it be and why? Somewhere in the Caribbean because I love the water and the beach!
  16. What was your most embarrassing hair style?  The mullet in 4th grade – thanks mom!
  17. What makes you laugh? When people can make fun of themselves.
  18. What was your favorite thing about childhood? The freedom to just have fun and have no responsibilities.
  19. Favorite song? Don’t really have one, but I do like Bruno Mars a lot right now.
  20. Favorite thing about Treetop? I love that our office is so welcoming and inviting.
